 The Urbis have a Man City amateur photography exhibition coming up. If you’d be willing to participate please see the attached file for more details. Submissions have to be in by 30th March, there will be a big launch party and the show will run from mid April-end of summer 2007.

A new signing? |
|
It looks like we're finally getting a striker albeit an unknown one...Confirmed trial on Mcfc.co.uk
Manchester City can confirm that 28-year-old Belgian striker, Emile Mpenza, is currently having a trial with the Club.
Part of Mpenza's trial saw him perform a starring role in a behind closed doors match against Blackpool yesterday, scoring the second goal in a 3-0 win. It also gave those in need of match fitness a chance to get a game under their belts with Didi Hamann and Stephen Jordan amongst them to complete 90 minutes.
City opened the scoring after 40 minutes through Daniel Sturridge. Neat play from Djamel Abdoun gave Sturridge a chance to roll the defender and drive an unstoppable right foot shot into the bottom corner from 10-yards out.
It was 2-0 after 48 minutes and a deserved goal for Emile Mpenza, who did everything but score in the first half. Didi Hamann slipped the ball through to the former Schalke man and he made no mistake with a clever dinked finish.
With 15 minutes left, City scored the best goal of the game to make it safe, as Michael Johnson showed great feet and deft outside of the boot finish from close range. Daniel Sturridge again did well in the build up, supplying Johnson with a clever back heel.

Maine Road FC Vs FC United |
|
On November 4th Maine Rd FC will play FC United at Stalybridge Celtic in our Home game against them. They are expected to bring 3000-4000 to the game and we are trying to raise interest among the Blue 3/4 of Mancheter to get a decent following for the team on the day.
City are away at Charlton and we are hoping that a few hundred of the fans who are not going South would like to follow a mini Blue team against a very red team.
We play in sky blue and still have the old badge on our shirt please check www.maineroadfc.co.uk for more details.

Grand Donation to Youth Academy |

 Failsworth Branch proudly presented a cheque for one thousand pounds to MCFC Youth Academy at the recent home match Vs West Ham.
Jim Cassell who accepted the cheque on their behalf conveys his thanks to all members and friends who contributed to this memorable achievement.

Honorary Life Membership for Branch Chairman |

Congratulations to Alan Hanlon, who was recently appointed as an Honorary Life Member of the Official Supporters Club. In recognition of over 25 years membership where he has held office for one year as Vice Chairman and the last nine years as Branch Chairman. Alan has also served on the Exec. Committee.
Presenting the award, Bernard Halford (MCFC) reminded members he had been very much involved in the continuing development of the Branch. Alan replied "It's been a pleasure and a great honour, it's just a pity the team has won nothing!" |

Branch Membership for Season 2006-07 is now due for renewal. Subscriptions have been reduced to Adults 5.00 and Junior/OAP's 2.50
These can be renewed at future Branch Meetings or on Match Days.

OSC Membership and Season Card Numbers are essential for all Branch Ticket Applications.

Micah Richards is in the running for The FA’s prestigious FA Cup ‘Player of the Round’after his Fifth Round headline-grabbing goal at the weekend,
